Dirk Jan Treur is an experienced Fired Equipment, Energy Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the oil, gas & energy industry. Skilled in Projects, Design, Construction, Commissioning & Start-up, Furnaces, Boilers, Incinerators, and Combustion in the Petroleum and Power Generation Industry. Strong project and engineering professional with a Master's degree focused in Thermal Engineering from Twente University.

TA2 in fired equipment (furnaces, boilers, HRSG’s, incinerators etc.): - Specify, design, evaluate and troubleshoot of Fired Equipment (e.g. Furnaces, Heaters, Steam Generators, HRSG’s, Incinerators) for Refineries, gas/oil and power plants - Project engineering and site management, several construction and commissioning projects in e.g. Kazakhstan, Germany, South Korea - Troubleshooting and Turn-Around support of Fired Equipment on refineries worldwide.

Detailed knowledge in Utility Equipment and Systems such as: Combustion, Burners, Waste Heat Boilers, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Once Through Steam Generators, Direct Fired Boilers, Marine Boilers, CO-Boilers, Co-Generation, Steam and Utility systems, Incinerators, Furnaces (Crude Distillers, Vacuum, HMU, Reformers, HDS, etc.), Thermal Oil Systems (Heat Transfer Fluid), Combustion Control and Safeguarding. 

Experience in providing training, coaching and mentoring. 

Dirk Jan has a humoristic approach to create value in projects and activities appreciating skills from all involved parties. He has a good project, commercial and technical mindset with broad Shell experience combined with contractor and vendor/manufacturer experience. He has the ability to drive trust in multidisciplinary projects with large intercultural expertise.
